Fire pit FAQs
How much does a stone fire pit cost on the Sunshine Coast?
Every fire pit is different, so we price each one on quote. The cost depends on the size, the stone you choose and how much seating, paving or walling you want around it. Brenton will visit, measure up and give you a clear, itemised quote at no cost.
Do I need council approval for a fire pit on the Sunshine Coast?
No. A standard backyard stone fire pit does not need council approval on the Sunshine Coast. We will still position it a safe distance from your house, fences and trees.
What stone is best for a fire pit?
Dense natural stones such as granite, bluestone and quartzite handle heat well and age beautifully. We will help you choose a stone that suits your home and ties in with any existing paving or stone cladding.
Can you build seating and paving around the fire pit?
Yes. Most of our fire pits are built as a complete outdoor area, with stone seat walls, crazy paving, low retaining walls and landscaping, so all the stonework matches.
How long does it take to build a stone fire pit?
Usually between 1 and 4 weeks, depending on the size of the fire pit and how much seating and detail you want around it.
Can I have a gas fire pit instead of wood-burning?
Most of the fire pits we build are traditional wood-burning fire pits that need no power or gas. We build the stone structure; if you want a gas burner, that is fitted and connected by a licensed plumber or gas fitter.
Do you build fire pits across the whole Sunshine Coast?
Yes. We build stone fire pits from Caloundra, Pelican Waters and Golden Beach up to Kawana, Mooloolaba, Maroochydore, Buderim, Coolum, Noosa and the hinterland. Call Brenton on 0439 298 899 for a free quote.
